Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Egypt Q4 2024

The fourth quarter of 2024 saw notable trends in the performance of top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Egypt. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced various shifts in weekly downloads and active user engagement.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares demonstrated a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 95K in late October before settling around 85K by the end of December. The app's active user base saw a gradual decline from 3.9M to 3.3M during the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced an upward trend in downloads, starting at 43K and reaching about 61K in early December. Active users also increased from 2.7M to a high of 3.1M before slightly decreasing towards the end of the year.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers hovering around 30K to 35K throughout the quarter. Its active user count showed a rise from 3.1M to a peak of 3.3M in early December, followed by a decrease to 2.8M by year-end.

Bolt: Request a Ride witnessed a decline in weekly downloads from 20K to just over 7K. However, its active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 100K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash saw a consistent download rate, peaking at 20K in mid-November. Active users started at 350K, increased to over 400K, and then stabilized around 320K by the end of December.
